About Our Art...
Jyoti Anant embarked on her artistic journey in the United States in late 2018, having relocated post-marriage from New Delhi, India. The turning point in her creative journey occurred in 2019 when she participated in the Inside Out Event at the McLean History Museum. Among the historical ambiance, her acrylic expressions, notably her Mandala artworks, resonated deeply, earning sincere admiration. The rhythmic dance of acrylic strokes on canvas struck a chord with those exploring the nexus of tradition and contemporary art, fostering connections with fellow artists in the town.
The encouragement and recognition from this event fueled Jyoti's passion for acrylic art, pushing the boundaries of her creativity. Each brushstroke became more than a mere interaction with the canvas; it was a progression into a realm where colors communicated a universal language. Jyoti's paintings have graced the community cancer center for the past four years, courtesy of the Art Circle of Bloomington. In a gesture of community contribution, she donated a Puri Jagannath artwork to the ISKCON Temple in Bloomington, finding a fitting home that resonates with devotion and cultural richness.
In 2020, Jyoti experienced the joy of gifting a beautiful Buddha dot painting to a friend, knowing that her artwork now enhances a space with serenity and artistic expression. The intricate details and tranquil vibes of the Buddha dot painting were intended to instill a sense of peace and contemplation, and it brings Jyoti immense satisfaction to know it is cherished in its new home.
Continuing to receive artistic recognition, her Mandala Fusion 3D artwork was honored with the Talent Prize Award in a prestigious competition by ArtShowInternational. In 2022, Jyoti contributed to the local arts community by serving as a judge for acrylic artworks at the McLean County 4H Fair, reveling in the diverse expressions of creativity within the acrylic art community.
Transforming her passion into a purpose, Jyoti proudly shares that her art has become a catalyst for positive change. Through various artworks, she has raised funds for Ekal Vidyalaya, a non-profit organization dedicated to rural education in India. The year 2023 brought another accolade as her Relax Mandala painting was selected in the McLean County Art Show by the esteemed jury. This recognition underscores the enduring appeal and artistic quality of the Relax Mandala, and Jyoti expresses gratitude for the opportunity to share it with the local art community.
For Jyoti, every brushstroke narrates a story, and each canvas is a journey. She encourages others to "Keep creating, keep exploring, and let the passion within your heart color the canvas of your artistic evolution."
